Several phone calls this morning (Thursday 19th) when the 76 was spotted using All Saints and Abbotts again - and then it went quiet and they seem to have gone ...
Just to let everyone know that the planned meeting at Yardley Wood Garage this afternoon (Wednesday) to do with bus routes in your road has been cancelled. I had a phone call late this morning, informing me that senior managers at CENTRO and Birmingham Council were not happy with the imposition of bus routes, without prior knowledge or approval. Managers at National Express will be having meetings with these bodies to iron out a protocol for future bus route changes. You will know better than me, but it does seem that the guerrilla tactics used by residents, with the parking of cars on the road legally has had a beneficial effect. It’s worked in as much, that buses no longer use your road, or do they? When I have further information as to what has been going on between these three parties, I will inform you.
